english is a funny language

During one of my first lessons with students, the teacher said they were nervous to talk to me in English because they didn't want to use incorrect grammar or pronounce a word wrong. To ease their nerves I explained in very broken Ukrainian that I'm also learning a language and that I understand. I then told them that there's just some words in Ukrainian that just sound funny to me to say, which I guess really resonated with them because they all began telling me their favorite english words. If you say any word enough it begins to sound funny, and we say new words so many times during lessons. These words were some of their favorites to say.
